摇床是重选厂中较常用的选别设备之一，尽管摇床单位面积处理量低，但其有效选别粒度下限可达0.037毫米，且床面分带明显，容易操作，能一次产出高品位精矿，次精矿及尾矿等多种产品，是重要的矿砂选别设备。
